Mt. Hermon Family,

I know you have been fasting and praying for this weekend.  Right now there is a name on your heart, someone who needs to experience the same love of Jesus that you have.  God has put you in their life for a reason!  He is ready to use you!  The Lord is always ready and willing to use those who want to be used for His glory! Don’t waste this opportunity!

Tonight there is still our midweek meetings.  I know Ms. Kristin has something special for those kiddos that joined us on Sunday.  Please do what you can to bring them this evening.  Don’t send your family, bring your family!

Our Good Friday service will be starting at 7 pm.  There will be a time of communion as we reflect on Christ’s final moment on the cross and why He laid down His life in this way.

Many guest will join us for our service on Resurrection Sunday.  We must not take this for granted.  We must invite and bring them with us!

I ask that you will continue to pray for this weekend’s services.  Pray that God will be glorified.  Pray that many will receive the Salvation that ONLY Christ can offer.  Pray that the Holy Spirit begins now to prepare each and every one of us for what the Lord has.

Just a little side note.  I would encourage you to park away from the front of the building if possible.  Please leave the spaces close to the church building for those who may need and appreciate the easier access.

Melinda and I are praying for you and for this weekend.  Please join us as we celebrate that the tomb is empty and that Christ is Risen!

Godspeed,

Pastor Dave

Hey Mt. Hermon family!

We have a lot of amazing things going on here at Mt. Hermon Church.

We have a tremendous community here and we want to make sure it’s as easy as possible for every one of you to be involved and connected to it all.

So, we’ve adopted a new and improved way of communicating that will make it much simpler for you to get the information you want from us!  It’s powered by a service called Flocknote.

This is all totally free for you to use, you don’t even have to download anything or create a password in order to participate.  You just take a couple of minutes to sign up and it lets you receive email or text messages from the groups and ministries that you choose.  It even allows you to reply directly back to those messages so we can get feedback and hear from you in an efficient manner.

Your information is kept totally private and, again, it lets you choose precisely which groups and ministries you want to get email and text messages from here at Mt. Hermon.

In addition to regular group and ministry communication, we’ll also use this to send you important updates and special events coming up and inclement weather announcements.

It’s also important for you to know that you can update your communication preferences or unsubscribe from any of these updates at any time!

We love having you as part of our flock!
Let’s keep in touch! Get important updates via email, text and even phone calls.

This new tool we’re using lets you choose what info you’d like to receive – via email or text message – from the various ministries and groups in our church. You can unsubscribe any time.

There are 2 easy ways to connect (pick one):

Visit our church at:

Text mhc to 84576
from your phone to subscribe to updates.

Text STOP to 84576 to stop txt notifications at any time. Text HELP for help. There is no charge for this service, but your carrier message and data rates may apply. View privacy policy & conditions at http://www.flocknote.com/txt.

Thanksgiving

6069

Tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving.  We all have many blessings in our life to be thankful for!

As we look through the New Testament we see people giving thanks in three basic forms.

  1. Thanksgiving to God in worship.
  2. Thanksgiving through individual prayer.
  3. Thanksgiving given at meals.

I strongly encourage you to give thanks tomorrow in these three ways.  Let us all give thanks to God our Father!

God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!
